Dream House

The good news is that I have found the house of my dreams. The bad news is that somebody lives there. That I like. A lot.

Is that a Ferrari in your kitchen or are you just happy to see me?

I guess I'll have to call off the assassin...

Silkwood

My client told her husband that she just wanted to change the carpet...and he believed her.

Pierce Allen

Pierce Allen effortlessly blurs the line between traditional and contemporary design. They inject a strong dose of glamour while rejecting the predictable elements seen everywhere today. I am so inspired by their clean design. These rooms are just timeless. This is my inspiration for my next project...modern Dallas townhouse. I cannot wait to get started on this one...

Warehouse in Sydney

This warehouse is a home and architectural studio in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Built in 1903, the owner has incorporated many of the building's original features into the current design. He has transformed the old warehouse into a livable bachelor pad by adding all the necessary mod cons, such as windows, plumbing and electricity. To add authenticity, some areas of the warehouse remain untouched.

ive found what ive been trying to get across for the past 9 or 10 years...

What is it that I wish to convey?...I wish to convey something immaterial and I have to use material means for it. I have to convey something which is inexpressible and I have to use expression. I have to convey, perhaps, something unconscious and I have to use conscious means. I know in advance that I shall not succeed and cannot succeed, and therefore all I can do is to get nearer and nearer in some asymptotic approach; I do my best, but it is an agonizing struggle in which, if I am…any kind of self-conscious thinker, I am engaged for the whole of my life.

Jamestown Landing Dining Set | Powell Furniture

The design of Jamestown Landing dining table is an adaptation of a colonial dining table with its lightened modern lines, turned trumpet shaped pedestal, and finely carved details. The dining arm chair is an adaptation of a Queen Anne armchair with its vase shaped back splat, hand carved shell patterns on cabriole legs and yoke shaped crest rail. It also features an interwoven webbed seat cushion

Simple Dimple Job

Some jobs are big. Some jobs are little. They are all satisfying. This little condo needed just a few pick-me-ups. The owner is rarely there...she is a jet-setter. Russian Hill and Beijing are her stomping grounds. She just wanted some pillows, bedding and lighting for her Eugene pied a terre. Simple job!

Lucky for my client her daughter is the talented artist Libby Wadsworth. Great art? Check.

Noguchi floor lamp. Check.

Donghia suzani silk pillows. Check.

Custom Castel linen button tufted cushions. Check.

Romo headboards and coverlets. Check.

Go Green

We added this whole side yard after we moved in. This is right off the living room...through a pair of skinny french doors. We planted ivy to soften the brick. I love it.

Minor obsession with boxwood and standard iceberg roses.

Vintage shell pots... Need to get to the garden store to fill these up with something yummy.
