I recently stumbled across the work of photographer Brie Williams. Her work is instantly transporting -- for a second you think you've been teleported to whatever sun-drenched, glamorously unstyled and authentic location she happened to be shooting...and extra points for the basket of fava beans in the first photo. I had my first experience with those suckers on Sunday. How to? First, buy more than you think you need -- they're not as full as you think! Shell them and boil for 8 minutes or so. Peel. Meanwhile sautee onions, when they begin to soften add prosciutto and stir. After another minute or so, add the peeled beans to the mix. Cover with just enough chicken stock to barely cover it, and reduce 'till thickened. Final destination: heaven.
