White Gloss Coffee Table

By Gretchen Bluford

A coffee table is very often the focal point of the sitting or living room, and it also has the ability to pull all of the furniture in the room together and help to make it look even better. But it has a lot more uses than that. It's a place to set your drink or snack, a place to keep your books, magazines or newspapers, and also a place to put your feet on while you relax and watch some television. There are many and various different colors of tables to choose from, and one which is very often overlooked is the white coffee table.

A good tip to follow when you are thinking of purchasing a new coffee table is to have a look online first. It will give you the opportunity of seeing all of the various designs and color ranges available to you, and will also give you an idea of what kind of price you can expect to pay for your new modern coffee table.

If your existing furniture is starting to look a little dated or worse for wear then a coffee table could possibly make it, and the whole room, look somewhat newer and fresher. This can be of great benefit if your budget is such that replacing older furniture isn't an option. Your new table can be complimented with things such as scatter cushions, drapes or rugs to make your room achieve that chic cottage feel. This is especially true if your white table is made from wicker.

If you are on a low budget but your rooms needs a make-over, then some new scatter cushions and couch throws can make a perfect accompaniment to a white coffee table and will help give your room that new look without breaking the bank. A wicker table for example, can give a room the illusion of being a in a country cottage, especially when accompanied by floral cushions and rustic picture frames and lighting.

Many people in today's modern and often stressful world are choosing to turn to the art and style of Zen in their decorating schemes. Airy and light colors will help to create a living area that is simple and harmonious as well as balanced. The universal color of purity is white and clean white furniture like shelving or tables give the wanted effect of simplicity and cleanliness. Intersperse it with splashes of color and the clinical feeling is taken away leaving a room that feels vibrant and yet relaxing.

A coffee table will fit in perfectly with almost any style home or design taste because of its versatility. A beautiful country cottage or a modern apartment will both look equally as stylish when it is complimented by the right furniture in the right ways. Whether your taste is one of traditional or contemporary, you are bound to find a table to suit.

A white coffee table can also give the illusion of your room having more space than it actually does. While dark colors tend to make things look smaller, light colors have the opposite effect. and due to the fact that a lot of homes tend to be of a smaller scale than in years gone by this can only be another bonus.
