Scenes from Real Life

One benefit of gloomy days like today is the extraordinary light for taking photos. So despite my inclination to hole up in bed and make a pillow fort, I pulled on my wellies and walked around the neighborhood and then up into Dupont Circle for the farmer's market.

I was thrilled to see brave little daffodil shoots pushing through the ground, and an abundance of greens at the market is another sure sign spring is on the way. Now I'm settled in for the day with some warm chai and...work to do. Oh well, Sunday bliss always has to come to an end sooner or later.

Hope you stretch yours out as long as you can!
